| So I have been thinking about replacing the stock leather/power seats in the Z. Basically for some reason I just never felt comfortable in them and of course the leather is starting to come apart. After looking around I realize that a pair of decent aftermarket reclineable seats with brackets is going to be at least $1000. And you still need to fab a bracket for the seat belt buckle. Anyway, I have a Celica as a daily driver and I always like the seats in it so I started thinking about maybe using them in the Z. You can get a pair of them for $200-$300 so they are fairly cheap. They also only weight 36.5 lbs each with the bracket. And probably much better quality than the fake NISMO seats that you can get on eBay. I figure I just need to get a shop to fab an adaptor that will go from the Celica bracket to the Z floorboard. Has anybody got experience doing something like this? Any thoughts on how feasible or stupid this is? :) BTW, this what the Celica seats look like.
